Discover the power of weekly money dates

If you find dealing with money boring, stressful, or intimidating, I’d like to invite you to discover the power of weekly money dates.

Are you ready to take control of your financial future?

Navigating life after a sudden loss, divorce, or breakup is challenging, emotionally and financially. As a financial coach, I’ve worked with countless women in transition, and I’ve witnessed their incredible strength and resilience as they navigate the overwhelming challenges of managing finances as a single woman.

That’s why I wrote Financially Savvy Women: Mastering Your Money When Starting Over. This book is your road map to financial mastery.

This money management guide will teach you how to create wealth that lasts. It’s not just about budgets, retirement, and insurance; it’s about reclaiming your independence and creating the life you deserve.

Today, I want to share an excerpt from Financially Savvy Women:

If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed about everything we covered in this book, that’s completely normal, and I want you to know you’re not alone. Before we sign off, I am going to share an important and fun strategy to implement what you’ve learned.

Let me introduce you to the power of weekly money dates.

We have been taught that we shouldn’t worry our ‘pretty little heads’ about money and that managing money is a man’s job. During my time as a retirement planner, I observed that many single women relied on their fathers or brothers to step in and make decisions for them. They were afraid to make money decisions on their own because they had a belief that a man needed to have the final say in their financial affairs. Ladies, this is a disempowering mindset that can make you feel helpless, but it also explains why a lot of smart, intuitive, creative women struggle with making, managing, and saving money.

The Power of Weekly Money Dates

Like any relationship, we need to invest time in our relationship with money. This is where weekly money dates can be incredibly beneficial. You might be surprised at how empowering it is to engage in weekly money dates. By repeating an action every week, you create new neural pathways in your brain, which takes the mystery out of dealing with finances. If having a money date every week seems like too much, consider trying it every two weeks. Even monthly money dates would be better than ignoring your finances all together.

Financially empowered women take a stand for their well-being by tapping into the power of weekly money dates.

All you need is ten to twenty minutes, a list of money tasks you want to take action on (such as your homework items at the end of each chapter of this book), and a nice, cozy cup of tea (or a glass of wine, if you prefer!).

Schedule your weekly money dates on your calendar.

After you schedule your weekly money date, download The Busy Women’s Guide to Money Management (my special gift to you!).

It’s filled with worksheets, trackers, goal-setting pages, monthly pages, and journal prompts to empower you on your financial journey.

My vision is that every woman heals her relationship with money and increases her financial literacy and confidence. I want to live in a world where every woman leverages her economic power, so that she can create wealth and success on her own terms, which means financial security that is within her control, not someone else’s.
