Are You Living God’s Vision for Your Life?
One of my favorite things to work on with coaching clients is finding their life purpose. I know how exhilarating life becomes once you discover why you were born. It gives your life a whole new meaning.
“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”
~Mark Twain
God created you for a divine purpose that no one else can fulfill. He has a special assignment for your life, which you were designed to complete. Have you taken the time to discover what that is?
You may think you’re waiting on God, but God is waiting on you.
He asked the prophet, Jeremiah, “What do you see?” He asks you the same question today. What do you see? What is your vision for your life? In other words, what do you dream about accomplishing? (Jeremiah 1:11)
Your life today will never change until you get a new vision. Dissatisfaction for your present creates a new possibility for your future. To change the trajectory of your life, you must first become intolerant of your current circumstances and make a decision to pursue what seems impossible. God specializes in the impossible.
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) So even if you don’t believe it’s possible to accomplish your dream, God already knows that it is. You just need to trust and believe that it’s possible for you, too.
The first step you take becomes a seed sown into your future. You create your future with the decisions you make today.

Your decisions are dictated by what you believe. What you believe is influenced by what you put your focus on. Choose carefully what you put before your eyes, and what you listen to.
For instance, those who read their goals regularly have a better chance of realizing them. Those who meditate on the word of God have greater faith than those who don’t.
Faith moves mountains. Stop complaining about your circumstances, and make a decision to change your circumstances.
Get a vision. Build your faith. Go after your dreams.
How do you build your faith to go after your dream?
You build your faith when you hear God’s word over and over and over again, not just once in a while. I like to read God’s word out loud. I have learned that God’s word coming out of my mouth has the power to transform me from the inside out. So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
If you find yourself feeling less than passionate about your life today, perhaps you aren’t living the life God created you for. But you do have the power to choose, and that’s exactly what God wants you to do. Choose the life He has for you.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
If your life looks nothing like the dream you have in your heart, have faith and trust God. I’ve watched Him take my own life from one filled with trauma, sickness, and heartache to a life filled with abounding joy, healing, and purpose.
God did it for me, I know He’ll do it for you, too!
