3 Success Strategies to Reach Your Goals

Do you want to know what it takes to manifest your dreams and reach your goals each year? It’s not setting new year’s resolutions, although that’s a good start. It’s working on your mindset.

Your mindset is the key factor behind whether you’ll stick to your goals and overcome the challenges along the way. Life coaching is all about creating the habits to shift your mindset to create a new identity that aligns with having the things you say you want to have.

Who do you need to become to manifest your dreams?

How do you create the habits that will cause you to do the things you need to do to achieve the things you say you want to accomplish?

A life coach has many tools and strategies in her toolbox to help you break through your current limitations. Here are just a few to get you started manifesting your goals and dreams.

“If you’re bored with life – you don’t get up every morning with a burning desire to do things – you don’t have enough goals.” –Lou Holtz

  1. Speak Positive Affirmations

Our words are more powerful than we realize. What we say to ourselves is even more powerful than what others say to us. That’s why positive affirmations or declarations can have such a significant impact on us. It can be as simple as looking at yourself in the mirror and saying, “You’re going to have a great day,” or “You’re going to enjoy exercising for 30 minutes today and feel so good about yourself after you do it!”

You can even use affirmations to boost your self-esteem and worthiness with declarations such as, “You are deeply loved and appreciated,” or “I truly appreciate all that you are.”

You can supercharge your positive affirmations’ power by saying them to yourself in the mirror every day for thirty days. The results are truly transformative!

  1. Start Your Day with Positive Input

Choose to read material that you find inspirational – like a daily devotional or even a blog you enjoy – and read it every morning as part of your morning routine. By carving out time for yourself at the beginning of the day, you fill your mind with positive, uplifting thoughts that will multiply throughout your day.

If you don’t like to read, look for a motivational video on YouTube. The feel-good vibe it imparts will carry you throughout the day and soon you’ll respond differently to challenges that come up. That’s because you’re empowering yourself with a positive mindset.

  1. Practice Gratitude

Studies show that when we shift our focus to what we are grateful for, we actually change our physiology. Not only that but practicing gratitude lowers cortisol (the stress hormone) and reduces anxiety. It can even lift our mood. It puts us in a positive frame of mind, which makes us better problem solvers and more resilient as we go about our day.

In terms of reaching your goals, practicing gratitude keeps us motivated and inspired to do what we need to do to change our lives.

Simply make it a daily practice to write three to five things you are thankful for. They can be big or small. Just write them down as you feel the impact of gratitude flood your entire being. Connecting with the feeling of gratitude is where the shift happens.

As simple as it may seem, implementing the above three success strategies daily can help you create a new mindset. This is how you empower yourself to become the person you need to become in order to have the things you say you want in your life and actually reach your goals!
